Words we use

The same definitions that open when you pick a marked word anywhere in the product.

Brief
What a brand asks for: the product, the angle, the deadline and the price per seat.
Delivery
The files a creator submits for one seat, with a note and a revision count. Previews are watermarked until the brand approves, and approval releases the full-quality files.
Exclusivity
An exclusive license takes the clip off SourceUGC so no other brand can license it. It is only offered while no other brand holds a license on that clip, and the sale is final.
Founding brand
A workspace that signed up during the founding period. Every tier is free while that period runs, and a founding workspace keeps its rate and its seats when prices switch on.
Hard fail
An application refused for a rule that is never waived. The person cannot apply again for 90 days.
Hold
Money a card is authorized for but not yet taken, the way a hotel does it. A single-seat brief holds the amount and charges it when the brand approves the delivery.
Identity match
Two accounts that share a signal, such as a portfolio link. A question for a person, not a ban.
License tier
Which uses a license covers. Standard is paid and organic social, Extended adds TV, out-of-home and merch, and Exclusive takes the clip off SourceUGC; the tier is chosen at checkout, or locked when a brief is posted.
Pre-screen
The first read of a creator application. It sorts the queue and never decides on its own.
Protection reserve
The share of every sale held back to cover the legal protection the license promises.
Real/AI label
Whether a creator films real people or generates their clips. The label is locked when the creator is approved and shown wherever their content appears, and presenting one as the other is not allowed.
Revision
A round of changes to a delivery. Each creator sets how many rounds the price includes and what a further round costs, and that policy is frozen onto the job when the seat is awarded.
SLA bucket
How fast an application is promised a decision: strong, typical or concerning.
Seat
One place that is filled and paid on its own: a creator's place on a brief, or a person's place in a workspace. A brief with five seats pays five creators, and a workspace with five seats holds five people.
Workback schedule
A timeline built backwards from a brief's deadline: when seats fill, when concepts and deliveries are due, and when the review window closes. It updates as the brief runs, and says so when a deadline is too tight for the number of seats.
